WRONG BLACKS BEING HONORED

It is the wrong black soldiers that are being honored. There were thousands of blacks in the Confederate service. While it is true that probably most of them were in support positions such as cooks and driving horse teams, there were also many who fought the invading devils dressed in blue. Nearly 180,000 Black Southerners, from Virginia alone, provided logistical support for the Confederate military. Over 13,000 of blacks “saw the elephant” also known as meeting the enemy in combat. These Black Confederates included both slave and free. Blacks were in the Confederate army because they wanted to be, while a large number of blacks in the Union army were captured in the South and forced into service against their will. They were put at the front lines and used as cannon fodder to reduce the number of white soldiers killed.

The Yankees and Southern scalawags do not want to own up to the New England Yankee slave trade which brought Africans to this country. The South is forever being castigated for slavery, and was being condemned for it by the Yankees at the same time these Yankees were bringing slaves into the U.S. and selling them. The textile mills in the North flourished from cotton picked by these slaves, yet the Yankee hypocrites badmouth the South for having slaves.

Slavery didn’t do well in the industrialized North, and many Yankees hated the blacks and refused to work alongside of them. Race relations were much different in the South where there was mostly mutual respect and love, in most cases, between servant and master.
This cultural genocide taking place in Virginia, and all the Southern states, reeks of historical ignorance and a scalawag mentality. Those who should be honoring monuments to our Confederate dead are instead, tearing them down and wanting to erect monuments to Union soldiers. These Union soldiers murdered, looted, burned, and raped their way across the South. The misinformed, historically ignorant crowd believes that the War of Northern Aggression was “all about slavery” and “freeing the slaves”. They believe that the Confederacy fought to protect and perpetuate slavery. The Confederacy was actually fighting for the exact same reasons as their colonial ancestors who fought the British.

If slavery was the issue, then why didn’t the North free the more than 429,000 slaves still in the Union after the South seceded? If slavery was the issue, why was there an amendment proposed which would have forever prohibited any amendment abolishing slavery (Corwin Amendment) if the South would return to the Union and ratify it? If slavery was the issue, why did Lincoln countermand the orders of General Fremont and have emancipated slaves returned to their masters in Missouri? No, the war was not about slavery, as is indoctrinated into our young in the public schools and universities, but about separating from an overtaxing, oppressive, tyrannical government and abiding by the Constitution and getting back to “the consent of the governed”. The South was paying 87% of the federal revenues and getting very little in return, while these revenues were going to benefit Northern railroads, bankers, and industries. Lincoln could not bear to lose his “cash cow” and illegally invaded the South to force it back into a union it wanted no part of.

If black soldiers are to be honored in Virginia, a Southern state, then it should be Confederate blacks who fought Lincoln’s illegal invasion in defense of their homeland and families, just as other races of Confederates were doing. To honor any Union soldier in the South is the ultimate insult to all those who wore the gray in defense of their homes and families. To take down Confederate monuments is absolutely wrong, but it is even worse to have them replaced with Yankee monuments. The people responsible for doing this are proof that there is a vast lacking of knowledge about our true history.
