I have found several cards such as the one below in the section of Fotnote titled Unfiled Papers and Slips Belonging in Confederate Compiled Service Records. Note that no race is posted yet this is the exact type of job that those who deny the existence of Negro Confederates state Negros held. The advantage of these deniers is thay know race was not always noted and many Nefro men and women whose cards read as the one above may slip through the cracks oif history without their service to the Confederate states being noted. I am not stating this man is a Negro, I am stating the simple fact race is not noted and he very well could be a Negro.
